Oncology Nurses Association Of India
The Oncology Nurses Association of India (ONAI) is a professional organization that promotes excellence in oncology nursing care in India. It aims to provide a platform for oncology nurses to enhance their knowledge, skills, and professional development to improve patient outcomes.
Forming an association has been a long-awaited dream for the dedicated Oncology Nurses at Tata Memorial Hospital. The primary objective behind this initiative is to unite all nurses involved in oncology care and create a platform for continuous learning and development in the field of Oncology Nursing.
Ms A.K. Bhargavi, the then nursing superintendent along with a few nurses originated the association. It was inaugurated on 1st November 1994 during the UICC conference held in New Delhi. The first release of the quarterly newsletter “Oncology Nursing News Letter” was done by the then Executive Secretary of the Oncology Nursing society (ONS) Ms. Pearl Moore.
